About and texting program

What this is

Restaurants post their own specials, a lunch deal, a happy hour, a last-minute offer to fill tables, and pay a small fee per listing. Every active deal is on the public page. People who sign up get the deals that match what they like, by text or email, at the times of day they choose.

How texting works

There are two text programs, each with its own number shown on this site and in our materials:

• Restaurants text JOIN to the restaurant number to opt in. We then text a private link whenever it is time to post a deal, typically a few times a week. Nothing is posted without the restaurant filling in the form and paying.
• Members text JOIN to the member number to opt in and receive a link to pick what they want to hear about and when. Members get at most one text per time of day they choose (up to five a day) and, only if they turn it on, up to five extra texts between each of those times as matching deals are posted. Email is available instead of, or as well as, texts.

Texting JOIN is consent to receive automated texts from Chicago Food Specials at the number you texted from. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies as described above.

Stopping and getting help

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that number. You will get one confirmation text and nothing more. Members can also unsubscribe from the link in every message.
• Reply HELP for help, or Email support@chicagofoodspecials.com, or reply HELP to any of our texts.
• Text JOIN again at any time to start again.
