Terms of service

The service

Chicago Food Specials is a listings service. Restaurants post their own deals and pay a fee per listing; the deal is shown publicly for the length they chose and sent to members whose preferences match. We are not a party to any sale between a restaurant and its customers, and we do not guarantee that any deal will be honoured.

Posting deals

• You must be authorised to post on behalf of the business and be at least 18.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you post, including prices, times, restrictions and any licensing rules that apply to your offer.
• Nothing misleading, unlawful, discriminatory or unrelated to food and drink. We may remove any listing at any time; if we remove one for breaking these terms, the fee is not refunded.

Payment

Listing fees are shown before you pay and charged through Stripe. A listing goes live only when payment clears and ends automatically at the end of the length you bought. Fees are otherwise non-refundable except where we choose to refund, or where the law requires it.

Texts and emails

Texting JOIN to one of our numbers is consent to receive automated texts from us at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency is described on our about page. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. Members can also unsubscribe from the link in every message. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Accounts and links

There are no passwords. The private links we text or email are your access; keep them to yourself. Anyone with a link can act as you until it expires.

Our content and yours

You keep ownership of what you post and give us permission to display and send it as part of the service. Everything else on the site belongs to us or our licensors.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous three months.

Changes, law and contact
